A few things to know about AppNorth, early access, and your research.
When can I try AppNorth?
AppNorth is in development. Join the waitlist and we’ll email you when early access opens. There is no confirmed launch date yet. Joining is free and does not commit you to a purchase.
Is this a Mac app or a web app?
AppNorth is a native app for macOS 14 and later. It helps you research apps on the Apple App Store, including iOS, iPadOS, and macOS. Your workspace lives on your Mac. Google Play is not supported.
Can I research an app before it launches?
Yes. Start a project before your app is published, explore keywords and competitors, and organize your research. Tracking your own app’s position requires a published App Store listing.
What will it cost?
Pricing and trial terms will be announced before launch. The waitlist is free, and we won’t ask for payment details to join.
Do I need Apple Ads or other API keys?
App Store search and rank tracking do not require Apple Ads credentials. The planned popularity integration will need your own Apple Ads access. Keyword translation uses your own DeepL API key; any provider charges are separate.
Does AppNorth work offline?
You can browse research already stored on your Mac. Fetching new rankings, translations, and other provider data requires an internet connection. Daily ranking refresh runs while AppNorth is open.
Is my research private?
Projects, notes, tags, and ranking history stay in your local workspace. Contributing keyword observations to the shared graph is optional. App Store queries, licensing, and enabled integrations communicate with their respective services. A connected AI assistant may process the research you share with it.
